A brief history:
Rabakavi-Banahatti city includes four small towns namely Rabkavi, Banahatti, Rampur and Hosur situated in Bagalkot district of Karnataka State. All four towns are 1-2 kms farther from each other. Rabkavi, Banahatti are relatively bigger than other two towns. Therefore ,commonly the city is named as Rabkavi-Banahatti twin city. Rabakavi-Banahatti has history that many people from here had taken part in the battle against British council for independence. Overall, it is a quite and peaceful town, mainly dependent on agriculture and fabric spinning. It is famous for its Spinning Mill and Old ancient temples such as Kadasidheshwara temple, Danamma Devi temple and Mahadev temple. and also for "dempo diary" which supplies milk all around the Karnataka.
What to see:
KadasidheshwaraTemple: One of the most popular temple of the city. The temple is located at Banahatti hill area. It has a old history about 300 years back, where the "sadhu' named Kadasidheshwara was sat for meditation and made many miracles in the favor of the people. In the name of him temple was built at that place. Now the temple is newly built & developed by the ' The kadasidheshwara Temple Trust'. Yearly once a big jatra is held in the name of Kadasidheshwara which is very famous all around the district. 
How to Reach:
Air: Rabkavi-Banahatti does not have an airport. The nearest airport is Belgaum, from where one can take flights to major destinations in India like Delhi, Calcutta, and Mumbai. One can also take connecting flights to destinations abroad from Bangalore.
Rail: Rabkavi-Banahatti does not have Railway connections. But one can take train from Kudachi to Belgum-Hubli-Bangalore railway connection.
Road: Rabkavi-Banahatti is linked with Bagalkot, Bijapur, Kolhapur, Miraj, by road.
